Working Together in February
“Those who have no record of what their forebears have accomplished lose the inspiration which comes from the teaching of biography and history.”
“Real education means to inspire people to live more abundantly to learn to live with life as they find it and make it better.” (both words of Carter G. Woodson)
Dear LABC Family,
Your African American History Month Planning committee has been hard at work once again putting together a month of activities to enlighten, educate, and foster fellowship with members and friends.
One of the activities that we will bring back in person is the Soul Food Dinner on Sunday, February 26, after the worship service. It is also “hat Sunday.” In order for all of us to have a good and safe time together we need your assistance.
Saturday, February 25
A few people beginning at 11:30 am to help set up in Barnett Hall
Sunday, February 26
We will need people to help serve food (10-12) and for set up and clean up.
If you can help us please let Pastor Carolyn know. We are looking forward to another great time together.
For more information on the month of activities, see the February transmitter and take home and save the brochure which will be available this Sunday.
Blessings to One and All,
Pastor Carolyn
