Athletes from MLB, NBA WNBA, MLS, NHL teams as well as athletes from other sports have boycotted games and competitions this week as a call for visible steps toward racial justice. This statement from the Players Alliance is representative of the way they are raising their voices. Please note their commitment to use their platform to speak out. I trust that we will join them in considering what our platforms are as a congregation as well as what our platforms are as individuals. Let us join the athletes in using those platforms to speak out.
