Happy Monday LABC Family,

Prayers for you all in the week ahead. Thank you to Pastor Carolyn for leading a beautiful Pledge Sunday. Thank you to all who have returned, or who are in the process of returning your 2021 Pledges.

A busy week awaits us. The Church Council meets on Tuesday night, the Budget Committee on Wednesday night, there will be a Ceasefire Call-in in Barnett Hall on Thursday night, the memorial service for Dayle Scott is on Saturday at 1:00 and a congregational meeting follows worship on Sunday.

Andrew Gardner is an excellent young historian and a friend from the Alliance of Baptists and the Baptist Joint Committee For Religious Liberty. In the linked essay he does a good job of outlining what our commitments need to be in our divided society.
