Update, May 18
Family,
Both at LABC, and in almost every church across the land, there is debate and discussion about what life will be like as gathering restrictions ease and we move into yet another, new normal.
One of the questions congregations are dealing with is “what about Sunday School?” This question is both pragmatic and philosophical. In the linked article Mark Wingfield – journalist, pastor, Sunday School teacher and Editor in Chief of Baptist News Global considers the question.
Also, as promised, Vice-Moderator Marc Buffin who is care of the LABC Re-gathering Task Force, provides another installment of Key Things to Know.
Important Covid-19 updates for the state of California:
On June 15, 2021, California will fully reopen its economy across the state if:
- There is enough vaccine supply for Californians 16 years and older to be vaccinated
- Hospitalizations rates remain stable and low, especially among fully vaccinated Californians
Important Covid-19 updates for Alameda County:
Based on the rate of new cases and positive test in the county, Alameda is currently at the Orange Tier and has been at this tier since March 30th. This is one step away from the Yellow Tier, which is the least restrictive tier in California’s Department of Public Health Covid protocols.
May joy surround you as we hear toward Pentecost Sunday!
