Update, June 14, 2021

Family,

I don’t want to give undue attention to the Southern Baptist Convention in that the commitments and values of LABC and the American Baptist tradition are quite different than those of the SBC. However, in that the SBC is the largest protestant denomination in the United States the struggles they face as they hold their annual convention in Nashville this week are noteworthy. We would all be well served if they could take steps toward racial justice and gender equality. Let us so pray.

Didn’t we have a marvelous service yesterday celebrating our graduates? Lets keep learning together!
