Today is the 80th Anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. For many this is a solemn day of remembering. In know for my parents, who were married in 1941, it was always an important commemoration. As we pray for peace we recognize the way history was changed by the events of December 7, 1941 and we honor those whose lives were lost.
This week recognizes Human Rights Day, the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) – a landmark document listing rights every human being is entitled to, regardless of race, religion, sex, nationality and other identifiers.
