This Sunday, August 25th

I certainly hope you will be in worship with us this Sunday if for no other reason than the title of my sermon and the title of one of the hymns we will sing, “Worship Is for People,” is exceedingly true. Further, worship is better when you are with us.

At 12:30 we will kick off “Creating Worship,” a new series of classes that will involve the participants in the good work of creating worship at LABC. Longtime friend of LABC, Dr. Nancy Hall, will be leading. It would be a great help if you would RSVP to Sandra Lee (sandra.lee12@gmail.com) if you plan to attend.

Monday evening – Our ministry partners, The Interfaith Movement For Human Integrity, are hosting a screening an discussion of “Beyond A Dream; All of us. Or None of us at the New Parkway Theatre at 6:00. Free tickets can be found at bit.ly/beyondadream

For those of you who are interested in my projections for the Bay Bridge Series this weekend I see the A’s and the Giants each winning a game. The A’s are playing well and the Giants will need to win at least one game to stay in the chase for the NL Wild Card. Quality and desperation make for an interesting match-up.

Peace,

Jim H.
