Dear Lakeshore,

On Sunday, July 16, I will participate in my 2nd Ride for Palestine – an 11-mile bike ride along the Bay in support of Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA), an organization that supports Palestinian children in Gaza, the West Bank and refugee camps. In 2022, Carol Glann and I represented Team Lakeshore at this bike-a-thon, and I encourage you to consider joining us this year! It will be a festive afternoon of biking along the Bay and enjoying a Palestinian meal and music. Let me know if you are interested in biking with us, joining for lunch, and/or supporting Team Lakeshore and MECA’s work.

Also, I hope you can join me next Tuesday evening for Encountering Apartheid, where I will share about my recent travels to Palestine/Israel. I will be joined by Jesse Lucas and special guest Dov Baum, an Israeli Jewish feminist who helped develop the Apartheid-Free Communities initiative. Dov and I will also be sharing more about the Apartheid-Free Pledge that Lakeshore is considering. Come with you questions and learn more! This event will take place in the Sanctuary and be live-streamed on Lakeshore’s YouTube channel.
