Stand Strong, Hold On
(Stand strong when life changes, stand strong through the ups and downs/Stand strong for you know that God is in control…/The storms of life, will push and pull/But we keep standing on the Rock that never rolls…We will keep standing/God is in control
These are the lyrics to a song from Vacation Bible Camp from a few years ago. Here we have another example of a song, theme, biblical truth that we taught to our children and holds true for any person of faith at any age. As we move towards the end of this year, this song becomes a theme, prayer, and a focus from which to look at the joys and challenges as we continue to journey together.
Although life still is not “usual” preparation and planning continues to take place as we work toward more in-person opportunities to gather together. Please continue to pay close attention to personal email, the midweek messages, and the monthly transmitter for up to date information on what is happening at Lakeshore. In order for our church to be “light in the world” we need the gifts of all to be utilized in ministry. The nominating committee is meeting to prepare a slate for the November 21 congregational meeting. If you have not been contacted and there is a ministry or task where you feel you are able to help, please let us know (contact any of the pastors or call the church office).
As we journey together: Hold on, sing on, fight on, pray on just a little while longer/everything will be alright.
