Soaring in the Spirit

In addition to highlighting Lakeshore’s work as a Sanctuary Congregation, BPFNA’s summer programming has featured a rich array of peace and justice ministries from a movie on the evils of the Doctrine of Discovery to Storytelling among Resistance Movements to Ethical Chocolate to the African Diaspora in the Americans to Migration with Dignity to the Pedagogy of Jesus – and these were just the sessions I was able to listen in on.

This Virtual Summer Conference is a great way to worship God and participate in the justice-loving work of God’s Spirit thought out the Americas. The keynote speaker will be Rev. Douglas Avilesbernal, the Executive Minister of Evergreen Baptist Association, of which Lakeshore is a member congregation. The fellowship, worship and preaching will be well worth your time.
