Public Witness Update
Dear Family,
It’s good to be back at Lakeshore after an adventuresome, educational and restful study leave! In the coming weeks, I will share with you many stories and learnings. Today I am excited to share that Interfaith Movement for Human Integrity (IM4HI) recently published a blog I wrote about our congregational journey as a Sanctuary Congregation. In it, I share how we have deepened our faith and commitment to immigration justice over the past 5 years, and how we moved from Welcoming the Stranger to Loving Our Immigrant Neighbors to Providing Sanctuary in a Time of Raids to Releasing the Captives. I hope you enjoy reliving key moments in our journey. I look forward to where the Spirit will continue to lead us in our commitments!
Peace,
Pastor Allison
