Dear Lakeshore –

There is never a dearth of ways to engage in public witness and the work of healing and repair in our world. Below are a few opportunities  – I hope you will find something that appeals to you!

SUPPORTING SERGIO AND AMERICA – the Sanctuary Working Group will meet over zoom on Monday at 7 p.m. for updates and a conversation about how we can offer support.

PUBLIC WITNESS BIBLE STUDIES: Decolonizing the Great Commission (inspired by insights from the Alliance of Baptists Annual Gathering) April 30 and May 7 at 6 p.m. on Zoom (and the following Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.) .

ALL WE CARRY, a new documentary about migration and accompaniment will be shown on Saturday, May 4 at 6:30 p.m. at Kehilla Community Synagogue. Following the film there will be a panel discussion with the filmmaker and community leaders, including Sergio. Doors open at 6:30; film screening at 7; panel discussion from 8:30-9.



April 28 – A Conversation with Angela (Sherman) Arias and her husband Jesse

May 5 – A Conversation with Rev. Dr. Zulu Lemtur

May 19 – Faith in Action East Bay will offer some updates on their work and ways we can partner together
