Pray-In and Fast for Gaza

Interfaith Ceasefire Pilgrimage outside Lakeshore, March 30

In March, roughly 1800 people joined in an Interfaith Ceasefire Pilgrimage, collectively walking 22 miles and praying for a Ceasefire. Several Lakeshorians walked and/or hosted walkers as they passed by the church. Since this time, the situation in Gaza has continued to deteriorate, with over 35,000 dead, the entire area on the brink of starvation, and no end to this human-caused catastrophe in sight.

Next Friday, May 31, will be a “phase 2” of this pilgrimage, bringing our prayers to Senator Padilla. At 10 a.m. we will gather at the Ferry Building to process in pairs to Padillas office (0.6. miles). We will then engage in prayer,  meditation, music and street mural painting as we deliver our collective asks to Padilla. I hope you can join me in prayer, procession, and/or fasting as we continue to bear witness to unimaginable suffering and add our voices to efforts to end it. You can register for the Pray-In here, or contact me directly for details.

Praying for peace, and working for justice,

Pastor Allison
