Our Refuge and Fortress
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Psalm 91:1-2, NLT
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
And so we began the new year in the Saturday prayer time. As we move forward in this journey, we (I) do well to remember that we find rest and safety in our faith in God. And we realize that God is ever with us through the Holy Spirit. There is uncertainty in the days ahead, but we find certainty in the promises of God. May we live as people of faith.
I’ve seen the lightning flashing and heard the thunder roll/I’ve felt sin’s breakers dashing, which tried to conquer my soul;/I’ve heard the voice of my Savior, He bid me still fight on/He promised never to leave me, never to leave me alone (Never Alone)
