Offering Prayer, Public Witness and Protection
Dear Lakeshore,
On multiple occasions this week the larger community has reached out to Lakeshore and our Sanctuary Team to provide support to our immigrant community. I’m grateful people think of us when there are ways we can help. Below are two opportunities to join in this essential ministry. If you would like more info on how you can partner in LABC’s Sanctuary Work in the months ahead, please reach out to Pastor Allison.
In the midst of these violent times, I’m grateful we can work together to protect our neighbors, denounce injustice, and be the church.
Pastor Allison
ICE OUT OF DUBLIN VIGIL – this Saturday, July 19 @ 11 a.m.
Don Biddle Park – Intersection of Dublin Blvd & Columbus St., Dublin, CA
Our partners Interfaith Movement for Human Integrity and ICE out of Dublin coalition invite us to join in sacred resistance at this family-friendly, faith-rooted action as we gather to say NO to new detention centers in Northern California and across the U.S. This gathering will include testimonies and calls to action; interactive arts and crafts for kids; collective opportunities to engage and mobilize; and a spirit of joy, justice, and solidarity rooted in our shared values of love, dignity, and liberation. It will draw on the legacy of Japanese American incarceration during WWII to resist its repetition today. Bring signs, sun protection, and your spirit of resistance! Contact Pastor Allison if you’d like to carpool.
