November brings a number of activities worthy of making space for in the midst of our busy lives. Consider joining one or more of these important events that provide ways to engage and form our faith.
PAUSE
November 2, 6-8 p.m.
Our sanctuary will be open to the community for people to stop in and pray, listen to live music by Gerry Grosz, honor the memory of a loved one and engage in a variety of meditative activities – or simply be still. All ages welcome; thanks to our young adults for hosting!
INVESTING IN SANCTUARY
November 7, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Islamic Cultural Center of Northern California (1433 Madison St.)
I am coordinating an event in conjunction with sanctuary efforts throughout the Bay Area that promotes a World Without Walls. Our event will educate people about border walls across the globe, decry wall profiteers and celebrate international resistance through engaging speakers, live music and photo exhibitions.
PLEDGE SUNDAY
November 18
How we spend our money is a profound reflection of what we deeply believe. Prayerfully consider your budget for 2019 and join us in worship as we share our commitments of time, talent and treasure for the year ahead.
HUNGER TASK FORCE ACTIVITES
Join the HTF in purchasing food, filling and distributing Thanksgiving bags to our community and buying Christmas gifts for our Sponsor-A-Family project. More info can be found in this Transmitter and the Narthex.
Peace on the journey,
Allison
