Midweek Message
November 14, 2017
Dear LABC,
These are some of the services and ministries happening at the church this week:
- Thursday, 10:00 a.m., Memorial Service for Warren Parker
- Thursday, 6:00 p.m., Ceasefire Call-In
- Friday, 7:00 p.m., All Youth Craft Night
- Sunday, Before Worship at LABC and Before 1:30 p.m. at Rockridge Safeway, Turkey Drop (Contribute a frozen turkey) for City Team Ministries
- Sunday, 10:00 a.m., Worship , including presentation of pledges
- Sunday, Following Worship, filling of Thanksgiving Bags
It is always good to join together in worship and in service, in looking back and in looking forward, in expressing gratitude and in claiming hope.
Jim H.
The central scripture in worship on Sunday will be Matthew 25: 14-30, the Parable of the Talents. No matter how we interpret the parable it is empowering to receive the message that what we do in response to God’s trust in us is, in the words of Lindsay Armstrong, “neither trivial nor incidental.”
