Dear LABC,
Last weekend was a busy weekend for Lakeshore. The PAUSE alternative worship service lifted up the theme of community, and I went away reflecting on the following quotes:

Be a breath of life to the body of humankind, a dew to the soil of the human heart, and a fruit upon the tree of humility.
Thank you to all who came out on Saturday to the West County Detention Facility for the ICE on Trial tribunal. We learned more about the plight of the undocumented in our midst and how our congregation can be a voice for justice and humanity.
Sunday was abuzz with worship, communion, welcoming new members and celebrating new life, both literally and metaphorically. I’m grateful to be part of an engaged and growing congregation!
This Sunday, we will honor mothers and those who do the work of mothering in our community. Pastor Jim will preach on “Sister Jean: Some Things are Beyond Biology,” with a Scripture text of John 12: 1-8. I hope you can join us as we continue to worship, work and witness together.
