The Outreach Offering will provide aid to Louisiana following Hurricane Ida.

The Adult Bible Study Class will gather at 11;45. Led by Pastor Carolyn Matthews, the class meets in the Library and also on the LABC Zoom Channel used to access worship and other church meetings. The September themes are faith, commitment, prayer and leadership. The curriculum was written by Pastor Mindi Welton-Mitchell, an Evergreen Baptist Association pastor from Seattle.

Beginning this Sunday there will be a Public Witness Forum, in-person and Zoom, each first Sunday of the month. This Sunday Pastor Allison and the Reverend Cherri Murphy, a graduate of Berkeley School of Theology and a faith organizer with Faith Alliance for a Moral Economy (FAME), will discuss the work of FAME, the importance of honoring labor and our work together for a Moral Budget for Oakland.
