I find the great thing in this world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving: To reach the port of heaven, we must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it, but we must sail, and not drift, nor lie at anchor.  Oliver Wendell Holmes

We must move. Toward God, toward justice, toward progress, toward peace. Standing still is simply not an option. Wither with the wind, or against it – today, toward God’s purposes, we have to move.

Dear God, place a fire within me. Let me not become comfortable in my current position. Help me move. Amen.
