LABC Update – Tuesday, January 9, 2024
An Invitation from the Roger Williams Fellowship, a gathering, of which Pastor Jim is a dues paying member, dedicated to advancing religious liberty in and through the American Baptist tradition.
Dear Friends,
As we start the new year, we are seeking to stay upright psychologically and spiritually in the maelstrom of events roiling our communities, our nation and our world. The reality of threats to our religious freedom, our civil liberties and our very democracy are part of this maelstrom.
I invite you to join us in a zoom event sponsored by Roger Williams Fellowship, featuring our friend and colleague Rev. Don Ng as he reflects on his experience as an Asian-American in our pluralistic society, so riven by divisions, suspicions and threats to our civil liberties, especially among our immigrant neighbors and their immediate descendants.
This event will take place on Thursday, January 11 at 1 PM EST / 10 AM PST.
