The linked article is an important reflection on the feelings of many as September 2023 begins. I would note that there is a difference between being afraid and being concerned. The article correctly notes that one of the central messages of the Bible is “do not be afraid.” I wish it went on to note that there is ample reason to be aware, alert and concerned.
