LABC Update – Saturday, March 11, 2023

Family,

A reminder to move your clocks forward an hour before you go to bed tonight. Pacific Daylight Time begins at 2:00 am on Sunday morning.

I will begin a series of three baptism classes following worship tomorrow in preparation for a service of baptism on Easter Sunday. Tomorrow we will be studying Jesus’ baptism.

At LABC, in keeping with Baptist tradition, we practice “Believer’s baptism,” the baptism of those who are making a public commitment to be a follower of Jesus. However, we recognize the validity of of other forms of baptism and do not insist that a person be re-baptized to become a member of our congregation.

Baptism, however it is practiced, is a beautiful symbol of being welcomed into the Church, the Beloved Community of those that are building their lives around the way of Jesus.
