LABC Update – Saturday, July 15, 2023
Family,
I hope you have had a chance to view even a few minutes of the 112th Tour de France. It is one of the most beautiful sporting events in the world. My Oregon grandsons are following it closely and are practicing ascending and descending (their words) on their bicycles.
Alodia Corpuz shared this prayer in response to our Vacation Bible Camp theme of “Shine Jesus Light!”
Dear Lord, You are the light within all light,
the Soul behind all souls at the breaking of dawn.
At the coming of day, we wait and watch.
Your Light within the morning light;
Your soul within the human soul;
Your presence beckoning to us from the heart of life.
In the dawning of this day let us find Your light in our souls.
In the growing light living within us, let us know your light
in our hearts as we journey on this day to do Your will.
We are aware of the gift we are to the world, the gift you made us to be.
May we continue to be aware every day of the wonders
of the world around us. In Your name, we pray. Amen.
I hope you will join us, whether in-person or online, for worship tomorrow as we celebrate a most wonderful Vacation Bible Camp. The Department of Outreach and Membership will provide a “Stellar Space Adventure Coffee Hour” with Laser Light Lemonade, Constellation Pretzels, Spaceship Fruit Skewers are more!
