In his 1941 State of the Union address President Franklin Delano Roosevelt articulated four freedoms – the freedom of speech, the freedom of worship, the freedom from want and the freedom from fear – as the birthright of all human beings.
As we celebrate freedom this holiday it important to realize that these freedoms are not experienced by the people of the world, or all the people of the United States.
The PBS News Hour report linked below is a reminder that many, even in the US, live in fear of the impact of substandard medical care.
We can do better.
