Family,

I would greatly appreciate it if you would add a short (30 minute) worship service to your calendar on Thursday evening, May 20th at 7:30.

On that evening we are going to practice livestreaming a worship service from the Sanctuary via YouTube while providing Zoom access at the same time. This practice will be an important step in the process of returning to in-person worship on July 11.

On the evening of the 20th it will be very helpful if some of you will commit to viewing the service via YouTube, some commit to joining via Zoom and some (no more than five people) commit to attending in person.

Please email me at jim@labcoakland.org and let me know that you will be participating and what platform (YouTube, Zoom, in-person) you intend to utilize.

The service, while abbreviated will include choral music, organ music, scripture, sermon and prayer.

The YouTube link will be https://youtu.be/GqaQiltwDh4

The Zoom link will be the regular LABC Zoom link.

We trust that what you experience on that evening will be a beautiful pre-Pentecost Sunday worship service and that you will be impressed by the experience our new livestreaming equipment provides. However, we fully anticipate that there might be technical issues, production glitches and pastoral shortcoming.

This test will help you get used to accessing the service via a different plaform and help us identify things we need to pay attention to as we move to a new normal.

Your participation, support and feedback are all appreciated.

Peace,
Pastor Jim
