A great day awaits as we gather for worship this morning at 10:00. We will celebrate our Vacation Bible Camp, Pastor Jim’s annual baseball themed sermon will be “God Bats Last” and the Department of Outreach and Membership will provide a “Stellar Space Adventure Coffee Hour” featuring Laser Light Lemonade, Constellation Pretzels and Space Ship Fruit Skewers.

Among our prayers this morning – Gail Carter as she continues to mourn her husband, Dennis (Dennis was interred at the Sacramento Valley Veterans Cemetery on Thursday); Melanie Baggao as she serves with American Baptist International Ministries in Lebanon; The ministry of Rainbow Acres with developmentally disabled adults; All who live with mental illness; All first responders; all immigrants (Some 289 children are known to have died in the first half of 2023 while trying to cross the Mediterranean Sea to Europe, the United Nations said Friday. The figure is double that recorded in the first six months of 2022, the UN children’s agency UNICEF said, as it called for expanded safe, legal and accessible pathways for children to seek protection in Europe.)
