Dear Family,

Thanks to all who contributed to and participated in Vacation Bible Camp last week. It was a joyous time of learning and affirming the goodness of God amidst the many struggles of life. Camp songs continue to run through my head and give me joy.

On a more somber note, we received word that long-time member Edna Dorenzo passed away last Friday. There will be a small interment service with family this week, and Lakeshore will remember and celebrate Edna during an upcoming worship service. Edna’s kindness, her smile, and her joy linger in our hearts.

This Sunday, Reverend Carolyn Matthews will preach from Deuteronomy 6:1-2, 4-9; II Timothy 1:5, 3:14-17. Her sermon is titled “A Solid Foundation.” The message and the music of the day will be a blessing to all.

Prayers as the week continues, that all who listen for God will know joy, that all who mourn will be comforted, that all who worship will be blessed.
