Dear LABC,
Vacation Bible Camp is in full swing. Our theme this year is “Peace Lab: Discover God’s Way Of Peace.” It is a joy to talk with the kids about Jesus’ words, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.” (Matthew 5:6) My translation of his famous teaching is “When we work for peace we are truly happy for we are doing what we are born to do.”
I invite you to pray for the campers and leaders and to join in the spirit of the camp by praying the World Peace Prayer each day.

Lead me from death to life,
from falsehood to truth;
lead me from despair to hope,
from fear to trust;
lead me from hate to love,
from war to peace.
Let peace fill our heart,
our world, our universe.
