Midsummer Greetings to All,
In response to my sermon of July 14th Jeanne Robinson sent this Prayer for Protection found in The Book of Common Prayer.  Of the prayer she notes “I love it and have used it often as I have muddled my way through 80 years on Planet Earth.”

Assist us mercifully, O Lord, in these our supplications and
prayers, and dispose the way of thy servants towards the
attainment of everlasting salvation; that, among all the
changes and chances of this mortal life, they may ever be
defended by thy gracious and ready help; through Jesus
Christ our Lord. Amen.
(my version is modern English and inclusive)

May it be so for each of you.
