Gender-Affirming Care
The Association of Welcoming and Affirming Baptists, of which Lakeshore is a founding member, is offering a webinar on Gender-Affirming Care. With the growing attacks and fear-mongering against our trans siblings, this provides both solid information and ways to join in solidarity with this vulnerable population. Below is information on this event.
Pastor Tanner will lead Bible Study on zoom at 10:30 this morning.

What is Gender-Affirming Care?
Dear AWAB family,
“Gender-Affirming Care” is a phrase that’s been demonized in recent times, warped in a systematic way to trigger an image not of someone being affirmed for who they are, but rather an image of a five-year-old who is being forced against their will to physically change their gender. Unfortunately, this misinformation about gender-affirming care is being spread by those with significant wealth, power, and political bias, and has been spread without the broader society noticing.
Join Rev. Dr. Donnie Anderson and Rev. Erica Saunders as they lead in a webinar explaining the myths behind gender-affirming care, and how legislation that restricts gender-affirming care dangerously harms our transgender youth. Furthermore, they will also share about what role churches and individuals can play in providing access or advocacy for gender-affirming care for our transgender youth.
This webinar will be held on Tuesday, August 8th, at 8PM ET/5PM PT. This webinar is free, but registration is required by clicking the link below. We hope you can join us!
