Friday Update from LABC

Dear LABC,
A hard week for our congregation got even harder with the news yesterday of the death of Michelle Austin. Michelle, an ABSW student and member of Cosmopolitan Baptist Church, was our Minister in Training from September 2015 – May 2016. She had continued her studies at ABSW even though being diagnosed with cancer last fall. Michelle was very appreciative of her time at LABC as we were of her.
Time change – The Voices of Lakeshore will be singing at 11;27 at Saturday’s Peoples Climate Mobilization event at the south end of Lake Merritt. U.S. Representative Barbara Lee will be speaking shortly after they sing.
I look forward to being with you on Sunday. It will be good to be together.
