Family,

Karen and I are safely home from a trip to the Oregon Coast. It was a delightful time in a beautiful setting. We were able to see both Brad’s (Karen’s oldest brother) and Kristen’s families and found them doing well. Of course, it is always good to come home.

Here are three links that pertain to the ministry of LABC. The first is an excellent history of Ceasefire, the second is a reflection on the “Know Justice, Know Peace (Black Live Matter) Memorial on Mandana Green and the third announces that ABSW is now the Berkeley School of Theology.

I look for forward to worshipping togehter on Sunday. I will be beginning a three Sunday sermon series on learning from the storied Baptist leader, Walter Rauschenbush, one of the pioneers of the social gospel. “A Time For Prayer” is tomorrow at 10:00 a.m..
