For a World Without Walls!

Dear Lakeshore,
One of my many hats is the convener of the Bay Area World Without Walls Coalition. This coalition is part of a global network of hundreds of organizations working to tear down walls of division and hate and build bridges to inclusion and liberation. 31 years ago today believers in justice and democracy tore down the Berlin Wall. We continue their legacy by commemorating this day with action. Join the World Without Walls (WWW) Coalition for this global day of interAction.
From Palestine to Mexico, the call to tear down symbols and structures of expulsion, exclusion, oppression, discrimination, and exploitation is more urgent than ever. Here are a few ways to participate today and throughout November.
Host a Watch Party of our Webinar Abolition and Liberation: A conversation with Angela Davis and Jamal Juma’. Use our 1-hour discussion guide or our 2-hour discussion guide to lead a conversation with your friends.
Pray for Palestine – Join over 100 churches preaching and praying for Palestine as part of their worship service on Nov. 29, the First Sunday of Advent and the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. I will be leading this service.
Liberate people from incarceration – Sign on to a faith letter calling on Governor Gavin Newsom to release more people from incarceration during the pandemic: bit.ly/GovMoralCall
Register for WWW November Webinar Series – Resistance Rising: The Walls Will Fall will build our collective power for justice and freedom through five webinars throughout the month. The schedule is on the graphic above, you can watch them here.
In Solidarity,
Pastor Allison and the Bay Area World Without Walls Coalition
