The Book of Common Prayer provides us with this Prayer for Guidance

Direct us, O Lord, in all our doings with thy most gracious favor, and further us with they continual help; that in all our works begun, continued and ended in thee, we may glorify thy holy Name, and finally, by thy mercy, obtain everlasting life; through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

It is in the spirit of loving concern that we join in prayer for the concerns and celebrations of our congregation: Jewelle and James Gibbs; Sydney, Gigi and the people of Trinity Baptist Church of San Mateo; Rae Rita Thompson as she continues to mourn the death of her dad; Kay Baxter for her family; Zondra Martin for her family; Katrina Lau for her family, Karen Okusu and her mom, and herself; Al Johnson and Roy Browner; Pastor Allison for her sister Jenny and family; Mary Karne for Maryla; All our students and the struggles they face; The American Baptist Seminary of the West; Pastor Dave Robinson and the people of Grace Baptist Church, San Jose; The merchants of Lakeshore Avenue; Thanksgiving for the ministry of hospital chaplains, including Wally Bryen; Linda Allen as she recuperates from an automobile accident; Garth Sorenson in the throes of a decision; Wally Bryen for his sister, Roxie; Charles Joseph and all incarcerated persons and detainees; Pastor Naw San and the members of the San Francisco Kachin Baptist Church; Cynthia Taylor for her family; Chuck Johnston for his sister-in-law, Luanne; Peggy and Doris; Thanksgiving that Miles the Magnificent (LCC Student) has completed his chemotherapy; Larry Sims for his family; Jeanne Robinson for he family; Gloria and Phil Meads; Julio Cash; The people of Haiti; The homeless and those who stand with them; Karen Hopkins for her Aunt Lou Ann; Sharon Gordon Greer; Thanksgiving for the ministry of City Team Oakland; Thanksgiving with Dale Edmondson that he is recuperating well; Thanksgiving for the first responders of the world; Michael Simpson; Pat Hughes for those in recovery programs but unable to attend to meetings; Linda Moody and her brother Danny as they mourn the death of his wife, Denise; Pastor Carolyn for her family; Thanksgiving on the tenth anniversary of the LABC/OFBC partnership
