Easter Season – Saturday, May 30
Family,
In the days since Easter Sunday, April 12th this year, we have been saying “Easter is a season.” Today we reach the end of that season. Tomorrow will be Pentecost, also a season, a season which will ultimately give way to Common Time, or the Growing Season which, in turn, will take us all the way to Advent. The liturgical calendar is important in many ways, not the least being that it is a regular reminder that, in the grace-filled providence of God, “to everything there is a season.”
Many wise leaders are urging us, in this season of the pandemic, to pay attention to our own mental health as well as the the mental health of the members of our community. This article is reflective of that wisdom.
The wisdom of many faith traditions is that music is good for us – body, mind and spirit. Thus, a musical offering for today.
