Blue Christmas Service This Sunday

Even under the best of circumstances the holiday season can be demanding. This is especially true for those who are grieving. Our annual Blue Christmas Service is intended to speak directly to this reality. It will be held in the Sanctuary following worship this Sunday. Please know that you are welcome to attend.

God of All, You are the healer of our souls and the hearer of our grief. When the joy of Christmas is around us but not in us help us not to beat ourselves up or be overwhelmed by feelings of guilt. Instead, help us to remember that Jesus cried at the death of a friend even  as we remember that he promised comfort to those who mourn. Stay near us in these hard days. Amen
