April 8, 2014

We now approach Palm Sunday. As is our custom, we will gather on the steps before worship this coming Sunday and process into the Sanctuary to the familiar words of “All Glory, Laud, and Honor.” We will remember that Sunday long ago when Jesus entered Jerusalem to the cheers of the common people and the anger of the powers that be. We will note that he cleansed the temple, washed the feet of his disciples and prayed for those who followed him aw well as those, such as ourselves, who would follow him in the days and years to come. Our central text will be John 17: 1-26. My sermon will be titled “Prayer: A Demonstration of Love.”
This information is in the Transmitter, and will be in the Bulletin again this Sunday, but I want to make sure you have the schedule fpr Holy Week so you can prepare to participate in our events as well as invite your friends. There will be no Soup and Study on Tuesday, April 15.
