Advent 2021: A Season of Healing and Hope
Yes, that title is correct. We are planning for Advent. At the speed this year is moving, the season will be upon us in no time.
As we did last year, we are inviting the members and friends of Lakeshore to help us put together a series of devotionals/meditations that we can share during the season of Advent. Our theme this year continues our focus from the all church family retreat. During that time we took a look back at the pandemic year, faced the pain and challenges, discovered what was positive, and took a look toward the future with a hopeful eye and attitude.
Advent is a season of hope and expectation. We look forward to the coming of a Savior who will bring peace, hope, light, and life to our individual lives and to the world. It is our collective ministry efforts that allow us to share the light of God’s love with others. So, in that spirit we invite you to share with our members and friends.
If you decide you would like to take part in this effort, please let me know by October 13. We will then need your submission by November 5. Include the following information: Your name (as you would like it to appear), a one or two sentence description telling us who you are, and your first and second choice for day and scripture. In Anticipation of Advent Joy,
