Hebrews 10:23-25
23 Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
The Lakeshore youth have been gathering on Monday evenings for several months. During this time there is a bible study, ice breaker, sharing, and prayer time. Our hope was to give them a time to connect even though we cannot meet together in person. Pastor Jim, Sheila, and Jesus P. lead out in making this time possible. We ask that you continue to pray for all our youth, their parents, and their teachers as they continue to journey through this challenging time.
We sent the following question to the group: “How has knowing Jesus and being a part of the fellowship of Lakeshore and the youth group given you hope or helped you persevere during this time? Below are a couple of the responses.
Marleigh
(Ms. Marleigh is a member of the LABC youth group and a high school junior)
Being in the youth group every Monday has given me hope because it reassures me that we all are going through mostly the same things and we bring each other up with the word of God. Also, it’s helped because we have prayed about a lot of things going on together and it has helped a lot.
Sydney
(Ms. Sydney is a member of the LABC youth group and a high school sophomore)
Knowing Jesus is watching over us reminds me that He has a plan for how we will get through this. Our Lakeshore community and youth group has been able to connect in an unsettling time and help each other hold onto hope that one day we can all be together.
