Dear LABC,
Looking back:
We continue to celebrate to all our graduates, their families, teachers and professors! Education is a worthy endeavor and we give thanks all who teach, all who learn, and all who commit themselves to both spiritual and academic edification!
We continue to give thanks for Mikki, Stan, Carolyn, the Voices of Lakeshore and the LABC Handbell Ensemble – your musical gifts, and your willingness to share them with the congregation, allows us to praise God in meaningful ways!
Looking ahead:
This Sunday we will honor fathers and all who function as father-figures in our lives. Pastor Jim returns from vacation on Sunday to lead worship. The morning Scripture is Genesis 15:1-6 and the sermon is “The Prayers of Father Abraham.” The service will include a time of prayers for fathers, and as a throwback to many of our childhoods, an spirited singing of Father Abraham with the children!
Hope to see you on Sunday!
Allison
